A new rate reduction in the annual amount of membership was announced today by the Latin American and Caribbean Internet Addresses Registry. The rate reductions between 5 to 15% are valid from October 1st of the current year. They emerged as an initiative of LACNIC Board.
The LACNIC General Assembly decided the modification of the membership costs for the initial payment and for the renovations of the following categories: Medium, Small and Micro, depending on this criterion:
Category | Adjustment (%) | Previous Value | Current Value |
---|---|---|---|
Micro | 15% | 1000 | 850 |
Small | 10% | 2000 | 1.800 |
Medium | 5% | 5000 | 4750 |
Additionally, it will be a discount of 50% in the membership amounts to the non-governmental organizations that are non-profitable, and considered by LACNIC as final users. In this case the discount in the IP Addresses Assignment will only apply for the resources that will be used in non- profitable services.
The rest of the categories will remain the same with the current membership values.
