During this four-day meeting, more than 1500 participants representing different sectors (governments, civil society, the private sector, academia, the technical community, international organizations) will discuss several of the most important issues having to do with the current Internet on a level playing field.
Diversity, Openness, Security, Access, and Critical Internet Resources are the central issues of the debate; all these topics will be discussed from the perspective of development.
Each subject will be treated in a different session, where there will be a panel made up by 6 or 7 experts and where the audience will have the possibility of asking questions and making comments.
LACNIC’s Executive Director, Raúl Echeberría, will participate as a panelist in the session on Critical Internet Resources that will be held today, Monday, November 12, from 3 to 5 p-m. Rio de Janeiro local time.
All sessions will allow the possibility of remote participation, as well as following the event via webcasting.
