The Internet Address Registry for Latin America and the Caribbean (LACNIC), The National Commission for the Information Society of El Salvador, Plan Puebla Panama (PPP), the Domain Name Registry of El Salvador (SVNet), CISCO Systems, with the support of Packet Clearing House (PCH) and the Internet Society (ISOC), are pleased to invite you to a Workshop about Internet Exchange Points (IXPs), that will be held on July 18-19, at the Hilton Princess Hotel, in San Salvador, El Salvador.

The workshop will be conducted by consultants and professionals having broad experience in the installation, configuration, operation models and maintenance of Internet Exchange Points (IXPs), also known as NAPs (Network Access Points), and its objective is to present and discuss IXP models and experiences around the world and in Latin America with the aim of providing information and criteria necessary for establishing and operating an IXP in those countries where there is none. The event is intended for government officials involved in the issue, telecommunications operators, professionals within the fields of information technologies and telecommunications, and other individuals involved in these areas.

The Workshop will have live translation Spanish-English.
