LACNIC is pleased to announce the start of its 2011 Seminars cycle. This cycle will focus on technological issues having to do with the development of the regional Internet, with emphasis on those relating to IPv6.

The seminars will be dynamic in nature and participants will have the chance to ask questions and interact with presenters through a suitable platform. A file will be created with the videos and presentations of the different seminars, which will then be accessible on demand.

These seminars are a new addition to the many activities that LACNIC carries out jointly with other organizations with the aim of contributing to Internet development in Latin America and the Caribbean.

The first seminar will be on IPv6 Transition Mechanisms and will be presented by Jordi Palet on 16 February at 1600 UTC.  The number of participants is limited, so we invite you to reserve your place by writing to aservin@lacnic.net.

We will soon announce the dates for upcoming virtual seminars as well as more detailed information on LACNIC's IPv6-related plans and activities.
