A new edition of WALC just ended in Bolivia in recent days during which more than 160 technicians from 15 countries in the region received training.

The 13th Workshop on Internet Networks Technologies for Latin America and the Caribbean (WALC 2010), took place in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia, from 11 to 15 October, organized as is traditional by ESLARED and hosted by the Universidad Privada de Santa Cruz de la Sierra.

Participants from Bolivia, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Cuba, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Chile, Colombia, Peru, Dominican Republic, Argentina, Uruguay and Venezuela, attended technical workshops focused on issues such as: Wireless Networks broadband data transmission: WiFi and WiMAX, Deployment of IPv6, Network Management, Advanced Routing and Multicast, IP Telephony, and Information Security, led by internationally recognized instructors from the region and outside the region.
